As seems to be the current trend, DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us has been announced quite a ways before the game's actual launch.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have revealed that the upcoming fighting game will be getting a "season pass" option, which will give gamers a discount on the first chunks of DLC.

The season pass will encompass the Flashpoint skin pack, which contains alternate looks for Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Deathstroke. Additionally, it will also include the game's next four DLC characters, although those have yet to be announced.

The season pass will cost $14.99 through the PlayStation Network, or 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. It will be available when the game hits stores on April 6. Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently available for pre-order.

The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios, and will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. The game will feature a standalone, alternate universe DC Comics story. In the aftermath of the destruction of Metropolis and the deaths of his wife Lois Lane and his best friend Jimmy Olsen, Superman establishes a police state totalitarian government led by himself. The story follows the battle between Superman's regime and a rebellion led by Batman.

The gameplay uses a standard 2D fighting game framework, and features a multitude of DC Comics characters. Confirmed playable characters include Aquaman, Bane, Batman, Black Adam, Catwoman, Cyborg, Deathstroke, Doomsday, The Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn, Hawkgirl, The Joker, Lex Luthor, Nightwing, Raven, Shazam, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
