A single and sexy Katie Holmes is showing skin on the cover of Allure's April issue.
The 34-year-old recently divorced actress opened up in an interview with Allure magazine, admitting that she is hoping 2013 will be a "peaceful" year.
In July 2012, the "Dawson's Creek" star separated from her ex-husband actor Tom Cruise after almost six years of marriage. Since then, she's been living in New York City with her 6-year-old daughter Suri. The couple has reportedly remained civil throughout for the sake of their daughter.
However, now the single mom may be considering giving love another try as well as her daughter a sibling. "I don't know," she says. "I'm open to it."
She also confessed that she may be heading for a career change as she is thinking about becoming an attorney and studying law. "Well, my brother and father are attorneys, and -- we'll see," Holmes explains. "I like the practical thinking of attorneys."
Since her divorce from 50-year-old Tom Cruise, Holmes has appeared on Broadway in "Dead Accounts" beginning in November 2012 until the show closed seven weeks early in January.
"I was open to -- well, to whoever wanted me," Holmes says of taking the role. "But it was always my goal to make it back to the stage."
Now, she focused on relaxing and enjoying life.
"I'm hoping to find other things that make me feel good about myself," Holmes says in a video from the photo shoot, adding to the magazine, "I hope this is a peaceful year for a lot of people in the world. When you look back on the last year, there were a lot of tragedies -- Hurricane Sandy, the Connecticut shooting. I just hope it's a good year for everyone."
Katie's interview with Allure will be released on March 26.
