James Cameron recently revealed details to "Avatar's" sequel after Fox pushed it back.

Cameron said he was still working on the script and would not have the film ready for the original 2014 date. He stated "It's not exactly a little, intimate drama. I'm working on 'Avatar 2' and 'Avatar 3.' I was talking the other day with Peter Jackson and said, 'You had it easy dude. You had the books when you did the second and third 'Lord of the Rings.' I have to create my own books in my head and extract a script from it. I'm deep into it and I'm living in Pandora right now. There is that start up torque where you feel it's coming to you. Then you build up momentum. That's when it gets fun. The characters talk and it's writing itself. I'm almost there right now. It's building fast."

He added "As for a release date, that will be determined by when I get the script out."

Cameron recently moved to New Zealand where he plans on shooting the second and third installments to his billion dollar franchise. Additionally Disney is planning a theme park attraction based the movie, which Cameron will participate in the development.

The original "Avatar" became the most successful film of all time and launched the 3D era. The film made $760 million domestically and $2 .7 billion worldwide. It was also nominated for 9 Academy Awards of which it took home 3.

Cameron won an Academy Award for his work on the 1997 film "Titanic." He has also directed "Aliens" and "True Lies"

"Avatar 2" is scheduled for release for 2015 while "Avatar 3" will be released in 2016.
