Additional images have leaked, allegedly taken by the upcoming Nokia smartphone Lumia 928.
As Latinos Post has been monitoring, Nokia is set to launch another Windows Phone 8 smartphone for the Verizon Wireless carrier under the name Lumia 928, a spinoff of the flagship Lumia 920.
According to Androsym, up to five images were found and supposedly taken by the Lumia 928. The pictures show activities during a family outing. In at least two of the images, the smartphone in question is seen but not enough to make any clear assumptions except that the smartphone could be offered in white.
In addition, the site that originally posted the images has since become restricted from public access and is invite only.
"I think this confirms our suspicion that the device in these photos is the Lumia 928," Androsym noted.
Neither Nokia nor Verizon has released a statement on the topic, so don't take anything as official.
The "leaks" come days after a tweet was sent of a picture also allegedly taken by the Nokia Lumia 928. Twitter user evleaks tweeted on March 13 that the photo was allegedly taken by a Microsoft employee. The picture features a mug from the Black Raven Brewing Co., stating, "Nokia Lumia 928 test photo..." (see below).
The GPS data showed the picture was taken in the town of Redmond, home of Microsoft and at the Malt and Wine Bar.
The "leaked" picture comes as the Lumia 928 went through the Federal Communications Commission's testing. The Nokia smartphone has been speculated to join the Verizon network due to having the same Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands, 4 and 13, which matches Verizon's network.
With an April release rumored, the Lumia 928 will be lighter and thinner compared to the 4.5-inch screen Lumia 920. The upcoming Lumia 928 is reported to be 10.2 mm thin with a slightly curved spine. In other cosmetic news, the Lumia 928 will bare a similar square look to the Lumia 720.
