Five months ago, Apple formally introduced to the world the fourth generation iPad and the iPad Mini, but now the refurbished versions have arrived.
As per Apple's refurbished policy, the Cupertino-based company has tested and certified the iPads listed as refurbished and include a one-year warranty. The refurbished tablets, although in limited supply, are installed with a new battery and outer case shell.
As for the prices, starting with the iPad Mini, the 32GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi variant is available for $389.00, nine percent off the original price of $429. The 32GB variant in question is only for the black color option.
The 64GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi variant is available in both black and white color options. The refurbished 64GB model is priced at $489, down $40 from the original $529 price tag.
A refurbished 16GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi only model is currently unavailable.
A 16GB model is available for the iPad Mini with Wi-Fi and Cellular under the carrier Verizon. Customers can purchased a black or white 16GB refurbished tablet for $429, a discount of $30. The original price is $459.
While a 64GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi and Cellular model is not available, a 32GB model with Wi-Fi and Cellular is, but under Verizon. Originally priced at $559, the refurbished 32GB model received a seven percent discount to $519.
The iPad Mini includes a 7.9-inch LED-backlit display, rear-facing 5-megapixel iSight camera, Bluetooth version 4.0, FaceTime HD front-facing camera, up to 10 hours for battery life, and a an A5 chip.
The fourth-generation iPad, also known as the iPad 4 or iPad with Retina Display, has also received the refurbished treatment.
Apple is only offering two variants of the iPad 4 under 16GB.
Starting with the iPad 4 with Wi-Fi model, available in black, the price has been slashed by $50 to $449. The Wi-Fi and Cellular model is available for $579, maintaining a savings of $50. The Wi-Fi and Cellular model is only available under Verizon and in white.
The iPad 4 features a screen size of 9.7-inches with Retina Display, five-megapixel iSight camera, Bluetooth 4.0, 1080p HD video recording, dual-core A6X chip, and 10 hour battery life.
