Just hours before the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in Times Square tonight, four new videos have leaked purporting to show off features of the smartphone.
The first video demonstrates the S IV's "floating touch" technology, which acts much like hovering a mouse cursor over an object on a web page. Holding a finger over a video or a contact on the phone (but not actually touching the screen) triggers a pop-up with more information, a preview of sorts. It's similar to the AirView feature in the Galaxy Note II's S Pen.
The second video demonstrates web browsing on the S IV, which looks quick, rendering images and text and resizing the page with little delay, though it doesn't appear totally seamless. The user also controls browsing with hand gestures that don't require touching the screen, but these seem rudimentary.
The third video shows off Smart Pause, which stops videos when the user looks away. There's about a one-second delay from after looking away before the video pauses, so it won't shut down if you glance at something else, but it could be annoying to turn off if you simply want to play a song on YouTube.
Lastly, the final video shows the unlock screen, but there doesn't seem to be much info to glean.
The Samsung Galaxy S IV will be revealed at a huge launch event in New York's Times Square on Mar. 14. Samsung's flagship phone is expected to feature a quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 4.99-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a 13 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video and come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
