Tamar Braxton has announced that she is a proud mommy-to-be!
The 35-year-old reality TV star and singer revealed that she and her husband, music executive Vince Herbert, are expecting their first child on ABC's "Good Morning America" Wednesday.
"I have a love on top," she said, referencing the Beyoncé song "Love on Top." "I'm pregnant."
Not only is she pregnant, but she's "almost there," said the "Love and War" singer revealing that she does not "have many months to go" in her pregnancy.
Tamar made the appearance on "GMA" with her sisters and "Braxton Family Values" costars Toni, Trina, Traci and Towanda, plus mom Evelyn. She showed off her growing baby bump in a crème colored Alexander McQueen dress choice with Jimmy Choo heels in a photo via Instagram.
"I feel great and greedy at the same time....," Tamar said during an interview on "GMA." "This is the most I've eaten ever." She and her mom are eating partners now, they said.
Although this will be the first baby for Tamar and her 43-year-old husband, she hinted that she wanted to be a mother last year during an interview with HuffPost Black Voices.
"Honestly, I definitely want to do that," she admitted about becoming a mother. "And I wouldn't have gone through the whole IVF process if I didn't want to do that. It's just that the hormones were so much at one time. Looking back on it, I kind of wish that I was in the right frame of mind, because I would've done it right then and there."
She continued, "I just felt like after the IVF process there were some things that were very important to me that I accomplished just as a woman and as a person just to show my kids by example, not just by telling them. I never want my kids to feel like I'm just some housewife who was just kicking it with my husband, because that's not the kind of woman that I am. If I don't do things for myself then how am I going to show my kids? So that's why we decided to wait."
The new season of "Braxton Family Values" premieres on March 14 on WE tv. The couple's spinoff series, "Tamar & Vince," aired its season finale in December, but Braxton confirmed that the show will be returning for a second season.
