The 2014 McLaren P1 debuted at the Geneva auto show where the highly anticipated successor to the F1 strutted its stuff on the showroom floor.

This baby is fast-903 horsepower fast.

And that's not all.

The McLaren P1 can reach 62 mph in less than three seconds, 186 mph in under 17 and tops out at 217 mph.

Just as a point of reference, its predecessor-the 1994 F1---pumped out 618 horsepower and had a zero to 60 time of 3.2 seconds and 180 mph in 20.3 seconds, maxing out at 221 mph.

But in order for the latest McLaren to reach all of its 903 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque potential, the engine and electric motor much work together.

A 3.8-liter eight-cylinder engine creates 727 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque and has been designed to be paired with an electric motor.

The electric motor, capable of declutching from the driveline, produces 177 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of effective torque. And the new McLaren can run solely on the electric component for up to 6.2 miles that can be charged via wall plug or on deceleration.

But if you really want one of these babies, if you can afford it at a price set for $1.15 million, you will have to act fast as the automaker is only producing 375 of the 2014 McLaren P1.
