Samsung is teasing the design of its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4, posting pictures to both its Twitter and Facebook pages.

Many people are noting that the design looks quite similar to the leaked Galaxy S4 photos that have been circulating recently. On the official side of things, Samsung has scheduled the device's launch event for Thursday, March 14 in New York. The event will begin at 7PM and is invitation only. Live video streams will be made available, however, and Samsung is inviting the public to check out the unveil in Times Square.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a very widely anticipated release, rivaling that of the latest iPhone launch. Some forecasters are even saying that the device is quickly catching up to Apple's popularity, and may overtake the iPhone for the number one spot this year. If nothing else, the excitement surrounding this launch shows that Apple is certainly not the only player in town.

So far, leaked features include a 5-inch screen (compared to the previous 4.8), a full HD pixel display with 441 ppi pixel density, an Exynos 5 Octa eight-core chip clocked at 1.8GHz, a 13-megapixel camera with video stabilization features, Smart Scroll with eye tracking technology, and the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The current rumor is that the device will be priced in the $629.99 range, but again, this information does not come from Samsung. The previous Galaxy S3 did launch in that general range though.

All of this information will be officially confirmed or clarified later this week at Samsung's March 14 launch event.

In the meantime, you can check out this teaser video released by the company.
