Grand Theft Auto 5 is still a long ways away from being released, but that has not stopped rabid fans of the game from trying to compile information about the game from the limited glimpses that have been shown. Specifically, a fan named Remi749 has started databases for both businesses and characters that have appeared in the released footage of the game.
The creator is asking for any and all help from fellow fans in gathering and fact-checking the information that has been documented so far. These databases are not a mere dumping ground for names that have been seen, but include artwork, relevant information, and in-game locations for the items cataloged. Those interested in helping expand this project (which is fan-based and not from Take-Two nor Rockstar) can leave a comment at either database.
The databases are worth checking out, based on the humorous if slightly crude names that the developers have given the businesses of Los Santos. Examples include Tequi-la-la, The Sundae Post, Nutsaki, and the creatively named Liquor Market.
While fan-generated databases are nothing new, creating one in such detail for a game that is months away is pretty impressive. Expectations are high for the game, as the developers have waited several years to make sure the game is of superior quality. Take-Two has said in the past that they do not plan on releasing new Grand Theft Auto games every two years so that each game is up to the standards the previous games in the franchise have set.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available September 17, but fans should look out for more information about the game, if only to help out Remi749 expand the databases.
