Fans are confident that the upcoming Pokémon games will meet expectations.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" were confirmed two months ago by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and will be the first 3D games for the main series of the franchise. The first of the sixth generation games will see a release date in October for Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America.

While pre-orders are being accepted already, fans of the franchise have polled that "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will meet whatever expectations one have.

So far what we all know are six new Pokémon, which include the three new starters, two legendary, and the latest Eevee evolution.

The trailer might have helped influence fans on making their decision on the Latinos Post poll if the sixth generation game will meet expectations.

With an overwhelming 85.66 percent of the unscientific poll, 735 voters believed "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will satisfy the gamers.

On the flipside, 14.34 percent of voters believe the upcoming games will not meet expectations.

The poll was the latest following speculation on the sixth generation's region.

Latinos Post covered had asked readers on what region the games will be based on due to glimpses on the trailers. With 44.89 percent, fans believe the upcoming games will be based across Europe instead of a specific country. France did rank second in the narrow poll with 41.12 percent of the votes.
