As if the debut of the 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe did not incite enough excitement among the auto community, the unveiling of the convertible version had mouths watering at the Geneva auto show---especially with the supercharger boost gauge nesting in the dash.
After the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible made its debut in Geneva, auto publications started to look into what this so-called supercharge boost gauge means for the new C7.
The gauge was seen situated next to the tachometer and is symbolized with two interlocking rotor vanes.
It is still unknown whether the coupe rendition will also feature a supercharger boost gauge, and there is even speculation as to why it is there in the first place.
Both the coupe and convertible are expected to host the same powertrain as confirmed by the automaker, which makes the mysterious gauge on the drop-top model even more intriguing.
The enigmatic boost gauge even stumps auto publications like GM Authority.
"We're a little stumped at the moment. Was it just for the show? A possible bug in the digital readout?" Manoli Katakis wrote on a GM Authority post.
Some people believe that the supercharger boost gauge serves as a clue to the next chapter of auto innovation.
But whatever it turns out to be, the answer to the mysterious gauge will certainly be solved soon enough.
