The rumor mill has hit the Mexican band Camila yet again, and weirdly enough, with the almost the same breakup story from two years ago. On Thursday, members from the band Camila had to once again clear up false claims by the media.
On the band's Facebook page, Pablo Hurtado, wrote to the band's fans: "Please, do not pay attention to rumors. The only official and real information has always been published here [on the Facebook page] or through our management Westwood Entertainment."
According to People en Español it was a Mexican magazine that claimed that the trio was not able to put aside differences between them and as a result Samo would start a solo career having already signed a contract with another music label.
"Dear fans, in terms of the article that came out this morning (Feb. 28) we want to let you know that Sony Music Mexico is and will always be our home as a label, both in terms of personal and group matters," added Hurtado on the Facebook post. "Between Mario, Samo and I there is great respect and admiration and that will never change."
Back in 2011, it was also rumored that the band was breaking up, but it was leading man Mario Domm who was in the hot seat at the time.
Various publications, including TVyNovelas reported that Domm wanted a solo career. The rumors continued despite Domm telling the media that the claims were ridiculous because the band was at the peak of success and it was in the middle of a major tour in Europe. He added that they had no time to think about separating.
In the end the band claimed that journalists had twisted theirs words from an interview in which they said that each member would only like to take a break,Latina magazine noted
For now, it seems that fans can relax once again because there will be Camila for years to come, that is until the next rumor arrives.
