The sixth generation Pokémon games have led to rampant speculation including the names of the new pocket monsters.
"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" have been confirmed for an October release date for the Nintendo 3DS and so far six Pokémon have been announced - Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Sylveon, Xerneas, and Yveltal.
However, Leviathyn is reporting a leak of the next batch of Pokémon courtesy of "Mr. XY."
The names feature the 650th Pokémon Chespin and end with number 748 listed as an Ice and Dark-type Pokémon named Tigrace.
The names offered in the list, which was obtained by a "coworker," include the names of the new starter Pokémon's evolutions. For the grass Pokémon Chespin, the next evolutions are Whirlihog and Gyrove. The fire starter Fennekin will be succeeded by Fennknac and Fennerva and will be a Fire and Psychic combination. The water starter Froakie's evolution is Ribbule and Bubbaboom.
Pokémon names can be farfetched, no pun intended, but some on the list seem questionable such as Toilelite (Toilet), Houndoomed (vaguely familiar with the Houndour line), Sydknee, Garbarge (Garbage), Iwish, and Serpreine (similar to Servine).
Among the rumored list is the pre-evolution of first-generation Pokémon Pinsir and second-generation Heracross, named Bugler and Chryscross, respectively.
According to "Mr. XY," an update, likely the Pinsir and Heracross pre-evolutions "will be revealed March 15."
Only time will tell.
While "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" are still seven months away from its debut, the fifth generation Pokémon games are still in demand. "Pokémon Black" and "Pokémon White" and their sequels "Pokémon Black 2" and "Pokémon White 2" are offering the legendary Pokémon Meloetta.
Meloetta will be in Level 50 in its Aria Forme, in which it's a dual Normal and Psychic type Pokémon. Meloetta's move set includes Round, Teeter Dance, Close Combat, and Psychic.
The Meloetta event is available through GameStop stores from March 4 until March 24. Canadian Pokémon fans can participate through EB Games starting March 9.
