Mums the word on whether Ryan Seacrest and his long term girlfriend Julianne Hough will be getting married anytime soon. The "American Idol" host continued to dodge questions about taking the next step when asked by reporters during the kick off event to "Idol Across America" on Friday.
When asked if wedding bells were in his future, Seacrest quickly answered the question with a question. "Are you getting married?" said Ryan as he went back and forth with the reporter about who was getting married before finally moving on.
The romance between the "Idol" host and the 24-year-old actress has been going strong since the spring of 2010. Last month, Hough revealed that her boyfriend goes all out to celebrate Valentine's Day and loves to surprise her. "[Ryan likes] surprising me and ending up at a restaurant and having the place cleared out and rose petals and stuff like that," said the star in an interview with People magazine.
"This year I think it will be more understated," added Hough. "I have no idea [about Valentine's Day plans]. He likes to do Valentine's Day." Hough added that Seacrest's efforts make her feel "so cute and special."
Though there's no word on when the lovebirds will set a wedding date, the 38-year-old TV personality wasn't shy about promoting the "Idol Across America," which is similiar to the Olympic torch relay, except with a microphone which will be carried from New York to Hollywood by fans of the show, inspirational figures, celebrities before it ends up on our stage.
Addressing concerns about the mic, Seacrest said that, "I'm sure there's one in a holster standing by if it breaks," according to AP.
