Although Tina Fey did a great job hosting the Golden Globes earlier this year alongside Amy Poehler, the comedian and actress made it clear that she would never take an even bigger gig by hosting the Academy Awards.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, the "30 Rock" actress confirmed that hosting next year's Oscar Awards is not a gig she plans on pursuing. "Is it a possibility that you and Amy Poehler could wind up hosting the Oscars next year?" asked the HuffPo. "I just feel like that gig is so hard," Fey responded. "Especially for, like, a woman -- the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone ... no way." She continued by doubling down on her answer and affirming there's not even a one in a million chance that she would host the event.
Fey also mentioned that she felt honored to be mentioned by William Shatner during the Oscars and that she had fun hosting the Golden Globes with Amy.
After hosting 85th Academy Awards and recieving mixed reviews, Seth MacFarlane, the creator of "Family Guy" and "Ted" also confirmed that he wouldn't do it again.
Rolling Stone movie critic Peter Travers bashed the award show, he quipped, "You enjoyed three hours and 40 minutes of total boredom?" He continued slamming MacFarlane's performance saying, "He turned it into the Tony awards with musical numbers," fumes Travers, especially focusing on the William Shatner bit and the singing interludes. "It was so dull," he added.
