The Xavier Musketeers (15-11, 8-5 A-10) are set to take on the Memphis Tigers (24-3, 13-0 C-USA) in a 7 p.m. non-conference match-up.

It will be the beginning of a three-game road trip for the 19th ranked Tigers as they look to extend an 18-game winning streak since they suffered a loss at then 6th ranked Louisville on Dec. 15.

Xavier looks to better their 9-3 home record at the Cintas Center this season with all three losses being by less than five points. (Vandy 66-64, OT; Wofford 56-55; VCU 75-71)

Xavier, despite their record, boast five letterwinners and a squad that advanced to last year's Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament, so look to those players to provide a strong performance against the Tigers.

The Tigers will try to pick up the tempo of tonight's game as they have in each of their last five games. With 70 or more possessions per game, Memphis has scored as many as 93 points, while averaging nearly 85 points per game over the last five games.

A win for the Tigers tonight will improve their chances of being selected for the Big Dance as they remain a bubble team. Xavier, however, is coming off a meltdown that saw them blow a 17-point lead in the second half at the hands of VCU on Saturday.

Memphis' Geron Johnson will take on Semaj Christon, a freshman for the Musketeers, in a battle of the guards. Johnson is averaging nearly 11 points per game to go with his 4.5 rebounds while Christon boasts an impressive 15 ppg average as well as dishing out close to five assists per game.

Memphis is a 4.5-point underdog going into this match.
