The 64GB and 128GB Surface Pro tablets are out of stock.
The Surface Pro tablets were released on Feb. 16, and on the same day sold out of the 128GB model. The 64GB model, however, was still available.
"We're working with our retail partners who are currently out of stock of the 128GB Surface Pro to replenish supplies as quickly as possible. Our priority is to ensure that every customer gets their new Surface Pro as soon as possible," wrote Microsoft Surface General Manager Panos Panay in a blog post posted on the same day as its release date.
Microsoft would restock the 128GB Surface Pro tablet, however, would ship the pre-ordered tablets starting on March 1. The 64GB had no shipping delay.
As of Feb. 26, the Surface Pro tablet's 64GB and 128GB are sold out. Pre-orders for the devices are not being accepted either.
Neither Microsoft nor Panay have issued a statement about both variants of the Surface tablet selling out or an approximate date of when future customers can start pre-ordering.
While the Surface Pro is out of stock, the Surface with Windows RT is still available, in both its 32GB and 64GB models. The Surface with Windows RT have no shipping delays posted and have a starting price at $499 for the 32GB tablet and reach as high to $699 for the 64GB tablet with black Touch Cover.
The news of the Surface comes after a report stated the Surface will make a debut in Japan next month.
