Lindsay Lohan's attorney Mark Heller claims that the troublesome actress was denied a lawyer when she was interviewed by the cops after she crashed her Porsche in June. LiLo's new attorney aruges that the cops were rude to his client, told her that she couldn't leave the scene and that things would be "worse for her" if she refused to cooperate with their orders, reports Hollywood Gossip.

Lohan's lawyer filed a motion of dismissal in the case in which the "Canyons" actress lied to the cops on grounds that she was not read her Miranda rights. However, police sources claim that you don't need to read someone's Miranda rights if they are not being arrested or taken into custody. Lohan was being questioned because she was involved in a car accident, therefore they argue that this is a legal exception to the Miranda rules.

During questioning, Lohan lied to police officers and said her assistant Gavin Doyle was driving the Porsche when it crashed. Once the truth came to light, the "Mean Girls" star was criminally charged.

In addition, Heller filed documents claiming that she asked for a lawyer but was denied by police who then proceeded to interrogate her as if she were a suspect.

The actress reportedly says police were really mean to her and threatened that if she refused to answer the questions, "it would be worse for her," as a suspect for DUI.

The filing claims she took the "stand on one leg" test and passed. However, sources claim that LiLo's entertainment lawyer was present for the interview.

With Lohan's record, it's hard to take her word that the cops were mean to her and that the case should be dismissed.
