The Buffalo Sabres look to end their struggles when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday evening.
Buffalo Interim Coach Ron Rolston has lost both games since he has take over the bench for Lindy Ruff. In his team's latest game against the New York Islanders, the Sabres were embarrassed 4-0 in front of the home fans. Despite the poor loss, Rolston remains positive about his team's prospects. "The work is there. The care is there. Right now it's just the psyche part," Rolston said. "It's important for them to stay on and stay with and stay positive."
Meanwhile, the Lightning is clinging to the final Eastern Conference playoff spot despite coming off a tough loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Superstar Steven Stamkos tallied three points in the match but was outdone by Pittsburgh's superstar Sidney Crosby. Coach Brian Boucher knew that Crosby had the potential to take them down. "Listen, I coached (Crosby) two years in Junior; I've seen it all with Sidney," said Boucher. "I was hoping not to see it tonight. He can do it other nights, but not tonight."
"You give that team a three-goal lead, you get Crosby going early in the first period, it's going to be a tough night," added Lightning forward Martin St. Louis. "I thought we hung in there and we didn't panic, we stuck with it and we fought back.
This is the first matchup between Buffalo and Tampa Bay; the Lightning won three of four last season.
Prediction: Tampa Bay wins this 5-2.
