Bungie, the fabled developers for Halo series, have confirmed some new details about their newest game, Destiny. The big news is that the game will not only be available for the PS3 and Xbox360, but will be available on the PS4. In a Question and Answer on Bungie's website, Bungie's community manager David Dague is quoted as saying:

"We've been planning for multiple hardware platforms from the very beginning, and while we can't get into the minute technical details of each console, we're fully committed to delivering our full vision for Destiny on every console we ship on. Currently, that list is PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360."

This is spectacular news for Sony fans, who have not been able to play any of the Halo series, but now get a chance to experience the developer's new franchise. Bungie is also working to deliver the full game to both new and old systems, thus getting a wide audience for the new series. However, nothing has been said about Destiny being available for the next Microsoft console, so people looking to get the next-gen experience will have to have a PS4, at least until it's most likely announced for Microsoft's next Xbox.

Dague also said that "It's a new and exciting time for everyone Bungie; just as we hope it's an exciting time for the Bungie Community. Though we have shipped PlayStation titles in the past, it certainly feels like we're breaking new ground, and that gets us very hopeful for the future."

While much of Destiny remains a mystery, it sounds as though Bungie is committed to delivering another blockbuster title to every platform that can house the new series. The release date for the game is unknown, but fans will be ready and willing to explore the new universe Bungie has prepared for them.
