The all-new 2014 Range Rover Sport is rumored to make its debut at the New York auto show next month.

And for those of you Land Rover fanatics who can't wait until then, take a look at these spy photos to whet your palate.

The auto espionage images of the highly anticipated Range Rover Sport were posted by Auto Express and depict the fourth generation SUV quite clearly--despite the customary camouflage blanketing the vehicle.

Some of the more noticeable changes is that the new Range Rover seems to have taken a cue from its Evoque sibling with a more sleek design and slanted roof, while shorter grilles and larger intakes can also be seen from the spy photos.

Land Rover's shining star of an SUV is reportedly going to lose some weight thanks to an aluminum construction that could shave off as much as 1,000 pounds.

And although it may appear that the new Range Rover Sport is similar to its predecessor, the new generation is going to be stuffed with tech features as well as an innovative powertrain that will set it apart from its Land Rover family.

Car and Driver reports that a hybrid rendition of the Range Rover Sport will come this year as well as a plug-in hybrid, which could possibly be powered by diesel, in 2015.

The auto publication also speculates that six and eight-cylinder engines will be offered down the line.

The new 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is expected to hit showrooms within the next six months with pricing starting at $80,000 and reaching into six figures.
