Pop sensation Taylor Swift is known for spilling the beans about her beaus and breaks up. However, in a recent interview she said that she would be okay if one of her famous ex-boyfriends did the same thing about her.
Swift told InStyle UK, "If I'm gonna write songs about my exes they can write songs about me. That's how it works." She added, "I'm not gonna complain about it. I'm not gonna sit there and say, 'I'm the only one who can write songs about this relationship. It's fair game.'"
Back in 2010, Swift penned the song "Dear John" after splitting with singer John Mayer who was 11 years her senior. Mayer was reportedly "humiliated" when he heard the song which Swift denied was about him. However, the Grammy-award winner has admitted that she uses her music as a medium to talk about her relationships.
Swift most recently began dating One Direction frontman Harry Styles shortly after she broke up with 18-year-old Conor Kennedy. She and the 19-year-old heartthrob spent her 23rd birthday together on Dec. 13, but it seems the two couldn't make it through the long winter session.
According to US Weekly, the couple called it quits while vacationing on the the island of Virgin Gorda. After spending some time together, Styles decided to spend time alone, got drunk and left Swift on their boat for hours. She was reportedly "crying and furious" at his disappearance, a source told US Weekly. When he returned, they had a big fight and everything went downhill from there.
Swift, who is known for her short-lived high profile relationships, gave a clear sign that things weren't looking good for the boy band frontman when she tweeted "Back in the studio. Uh oh..." last month.
We'll just have to wait and see what smash hit single arises from this romance gone wrong!
