Premios Lo Nuestro brought together some of the best acts in Latin music last night.

El maestro Juan Luis Guerra had people on their feet and dancing from the second he grabbed the mike. He opened the show with a mix of some of his best merengues including "A Pedir Su Mano," "La Bilirubina," "Las Avispas," and his new award winning hit "En el Cielo No Hay Hospital." During his performance, a number of dancers dressed in traditional Colombian Cumbia outfits emerged from the crowd and joined his back up dancers onstage.

Other crowd pleasing performances included Mr. Worlwide Pitbull who had the crowd throwing their hands up with the single "Echa Pa'lla," Mexican singer Pedro Fernandez whose musical trajectory was recognized, Alejandro Sanz who sang "Mi Marciana,""La Música No se Toca," and "Corazón Partío," the Spanish singer also took home the Award for Excellence.

Colombian singer Carlos vives came back to the Premios Lo Nuestro stage after not performing there for 10 years. He had two performances that night. The first of his new single "Volvia a Nacer" and the second was a mix of some of his old-school vallenatos which was the closing performance of the show.

One of the most heartfelt and possibly most important moments of the night was the tribute to the late Jenni Rivera. Singers Olga Tañón, Shaila Durcal, Diana Reyes and Maria Jose each sang a song of hers, at the end brother Lupillo Rivera came out with a pair of darkshades and singing "Yo Te Extrañaré" (I will miss you), which he sang alongside Olga Tañón. As he began to get emotional mid-song so did the people in the crowd, by the end it was all tears. After he finished the song he turned around to look at a picture of Jenni and said "I will always love you sister."
