After breaking up with country sensation Taylor Swift, One Direction frontman Harry Styles said he's doing just fine without her. In an interview with U.K. radio station Capital FM, Styles made it clear that he's "OK" since he and Swift broke up earlier this year.
"Yeah, I'm good," said the British teen heartthrob.
Styles even went as far as to offer Swift praise on her Grammy performance despite the fact that she seemed to mock him when she used an English accent while singing her hit single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
"She's a great performer," Styles said. "She always performs great and she's always good on stage. She's done it for a long time. She knows what she's doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance."
When asked if he was bothered by the media frenzy around his high-profile breakup, Styles said he recognized the need for gossip. "I understand why people would want to know stuff like that. I get it. I'd want to know about it too."
It's a good thing that the two celebrity singers have cleared the air since their breakup, since they'll be reunited on Wednesday at the Brit Awards. In an interview with Grazia magazine, the 19-year-old singer said he wasn't concerned about running into his ex-girlfriend at the upcoming award show. "I'm not worried about seeing her at all. She's a sweet girl, you know. I don't have a bad word to say about her," he said.
According to US Weekly, the couple called it quits while vacationing on the island of Virgin Gorda. After spending some time together, Styles decided to spend time alone, got drunk and left Swift on their boat for hours. She was reportedly "crying and furious" at his disappearance, a source told US Weekly. When he returned, they had a big fight and everything went downhill from there.
