Early Sunday morning, pop star Rihanna was seen leaving a nightclub with a bloody knee after a heckler threw a bottle at her. According to eye witnesses, the man threw a bottle of the British energy drink Lucozade because he was reportedly upset that Rih Rih is back with Chris Brown, her on-again-off-again boyfriend who infamously hospitalized her during a domestic dispute in 2009.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. as the 24-year-old singer was leaving London's Box Nightclub with her best friend Melissa Forde and British model Cara Delevingne. On Saturday the "Stay" singer successfully launched her new fashion line, River Island, in London.
She reportedly dodged the bottle, but fell against a metal shop shutter and cut her knee. Photos at the New York Daily News show her dabbing at the blood with a tissue.
Her bodyguard was also injured in midst of the chaos and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment due to damages to his leg, reports the Daily News.
However, the "Diamonds" singer did not let the incident phase her or take away her excitement about being compared to Princess Diana on the cover of The Sunday Times. She tweeted, "Just so happens I came home drunk to this in a pile of papers outside my hotel room! My lil Bajan behind..." and "When your face is pic-stitched to Princess Diana's on the cover of The Sunday Times.... I mean.."
On the night of the 55th Grammy Awards, Rihanna was photographed cuddling up with RnB singer Chris Brown. However, a few days later, they showed up separately at the Playhouse Nightclub in Los Angeles and didn't speak to each other.
