Jenni Rivera's sister Rosie Rivera confirmed Sunday Feb. 17 that she has plans on making a movie about her sister.
Rivera stated, "We want to share Jenni's life with her fans through a well documented movie." However she failed to state who would play "La Diva de la Banda" and when they were planning on starting production.
Although she did not mention names, many actresses have been brought up as potential candidates. The first actress mentioned was Angelica Vale (La Fea Mas Bella). However Vale denied being in contact with the family but stated that she would be honored to play the role if she was given the opportunity.
Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado was also mentioned in the list. The model-actress told "Sal y Pimienta" that she always had a deep respect for the singer because she was authentic and always shared her feelings.
Jennifer Lopez is the third candidate who was mentioned for the role. A few days ago Rivera confirmed that she met with Lopez and her lawyers about the possibility of making the film with JLO's Nuyorican Productions.
Lopez stated that Jenni Rivera deserves a Hollywood production similar to that of Selena Quintanilla. She also stated that she never met Rivera but was inspired by her story and respected her as one of the great Latin American artists.
Vale recently starred in "No Me Hallo" and hosted the show "Parodiando. Machado was last seen in "Mira Quien Baila" where she took home third place. She returns to "Nuestra Belleza Latina" as a judge this summer.
Lopez's latest film Hackford's "Parker" is currently in theaters. She recently made headlines at the Grammy's when she disobeyed the dress code. She told reporters that "they didn't say anything about leg! I thought I was being such a good girl! A little shoulder, a little leg."
