The majority of the cast for the highly anticipated telenovela "La Tempestad" have been announced. However the long awaited reveal of the female protagonist has not been unveiled.

The William Levy starrer will feature major telenovela actors such as Daniela Romo, Cesar Évora, Iván Sánchez, Diana Bracho, and Alfonso Herrera.

Romo is noted for her vast acting and musical career that spans over 35 years, eight films, 15 telenovelas, and 24 albums. Romo recently acted in "Que Bonito Amor" as herself and played the villainous role in "Triunfo del Amor." Other telenovelas Romo has been featured in include, "Alborada," "El Manantial," "Si Dios me quita la vida," "Balada por un Amor," "El Camino Secreto," and "Déjame Vivir."

Évora's acting career started in 1982 with the film "Cecilia." He has done 10 movies and 27 telenovelas; the prolific actor has done five soap operas since 2011. His most recent work includes the villainous role of Dionisio Ferrer in "Amor Bravio" as well supporting roles in "Abismo de passion" and "Triunfo del Amor."

Veteran actress Diana Brach has made films since 1949 when she was just five years of age. Her telenovela resumé includes 26 different shows including "Rafaela," "Locas del Amor," and "Fuego en la Sangre."

Herrera was announced as part of the cast last week. He started his TV career back in 2007 with "RBD: La Familia" and has since done six TV series.

The name of the female protagonist was expected on Friday, but it was never announced. William Levy's girlfriend Elizabeth Gutierrez is supposedly out of the running; former Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete and actress Silvia Navarro are the favorites to land the role.
