Marilyn Manson collapsed on stage during a concert in Saskatoon, Canada on Wednesday. He was performing the hit single "The Beautiful People" from his 1996 album Antichrist Superstar, when he fell onto the stage, according to Hollywood Life.
At first, fans did not react, perhaps thinking it was part of the performance, and it took nearly a minute for someone to realize something was wrong, Hollywood Life reported. Some concertgoers told TMZ that they saw Manson vomit on stage, though that hasn't been confirmed.
Why did Manson collapse on stage? It turns out he just had the flu, according to an update from TMZ. He had apparently been feeling sick all day, but didn't want to cancel his concert that night.
"Sources say Manson was not taken to the hospital," TMZ added. "Instead, he went back to his hotel room and got some rest. We're told he still feels 'drained' - but he's focusing on recovery and is determined to perform tomorrow night in Calgary."
Manson, 44, has a lot going on these days. He is scheduled to appear in the sixth season of Californication alongside David Duchovny, Hollywood Life reports. He has appeared on a few other TV shows over the past couple years, including Adult Swim's Tim and Eric Awesome Show and the E! show The Soup.
Manson's most recent album, Born Villian, was released in March 2012. Though it received mixed reviews, Manson has said it was his "comeback" album after two previous poorly performing records.
