The Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs look to extend their winning streaks to two when they face off on Thursday evening.

The Jets (4-4-1) are coming off a tough three game road trip. The team lost the first two games of the trip by a combined score of 14-6 but managed to salvage the third part with a 3-2 overtime win over the Florida Panthers. The Jets got goals from Blake Wheeler, Mark Stuart, and Brian Little.

"It's nice to win after a tough road trip but it would have been nice to get the two points clean," said Little who scored the game winner. "I think it was a pretty sloppy game, but you know two [points are] better than nothing, so I think we're pretty happy with that."

The Maple Leafs (5-5-0) are coming off a solid 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals that featured a two-goal night from James Van Riemsdyk. He now has six goals in 10 games this season after only lighting the lamp 11 times in 43 games a year ago.

Worthy of note is the fact that the Leafs have been a better team away from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto; four of the Leafs' wins have come on the road.

Previous Meetings: This is the first of three games this season between the two teams. They split the four game series last year.

Predictions: Toronto has been excellent on the road, but the Jets are historically good at home. I give this to Toronto in a 3-2 overtime win.
