The Honey Boo Boo Child clan may not be known for having the healthiest habits; many critics poke fun at the family's lazy behavior and generally overweight appearances. But it looks like that will soon change. TLC will unveil a newly slimmed down, 115 pound lighter "Mama" June Shannon Sunday when it premieres the special Christmas edition of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Child," according to The Huffington Post.

Not to worry, the family hasn't changed too much. Shannon revealed to TMZ she lost the weight the old fashioned "Honey Boo Boo" way: by changing absolutely nothing in her diet, and merely getting out more.

"The show I've been more active. They have me running around and going different places... I guess it's paying off," she explained to TMZ.

"I haven't done any surgeries... no diet pills... never went to the gym," she claimed.

The weight loss accompanies some other recent attempts by "Mama" to class up her look. While Shannon sported pulled back grey curls for much of the first season of the series, she appeared newly dolled up, with a bleached blonde hairdo and tan to match, in the program's Thanksgiving themed episode.

Shannon claims the fresh look wasn't motivated by the family's newfound fame.

"No, I have not felt no pressure to change," Mama June told the Huffington Post. "I was blonde about six years ago and I wanted to go back blond, so I went back blond and I loved it. I have lost 115 pounds, but that's because I'm on the go. We love fried food, but I lost that weight because I'm more active doing things."

"Mama" also laughed off the idea that fame had changed the family.

"In five years, I see us still playing mud ball games, being a family and being there for one another. Wherever this amazing adventure leads us, we are ready for anything as long as we are a family," she said. "That's where I'm the most happy, because my kids mean the world to me. You know I would be lost without them. That's all that matters to me."

Perhaps more shocking than her weight loss, those also aren't the first logical words to come out of the Shannon's mouth.

Many have criticized the "Honey Boo Boo Child" TV show family for their relaxed standards of health, hygiene, and public over-exposure, but at least Mama June is proving she's got more wisdom than just Sketti and diabetic-coma-inducing lemonade. Unlike many reality "stars," the mom is determined to not let her brood's stardom go their heads and has set up trust funds for each of her daughters, Yahoo News reported.

Since premiering last year, the Honey Boo Boo clan received a pay bump and now takes in between $15,000 - $20,000 per episode, which is divided equally into accounts for seven-year-old Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson; 12-year-old Lauryn ("Pumpkin"); 15-year-old Jessica ("Chubbs"); 18-year-old Anna, and her baby Kaitlyn, the reality TV mom told TMZ.

The funds won't be available for the girls to access for anything other than schooling and medical emergencies until they turn 21-years-old, Mama June said.

"I want my kids to look back and say, 'Mama played it smart. Not like those other reality TV people,'" she told TMZ, adding that she never actually receives money from the network. "TLC puts the money into the girls' trust accounts for me and then I get an e-mail telling me how much everyone gets."

According to June, Honey Boo Boo's father, Sugarbear provides for the family just fine with his work as a contractor. She says that no matter how much the family takes in from its reality TV fame they've vowed to not waste the money on material possessions.

"You're never gonna see me drive a Range Rover or a Mercedes," she said. "I'll drive one if someone else pays for it. Never gonna live above my means."

"HOLLA-day" episodes documenting the family - of course - during the holidays are currently airing on TLC, with the Christmas episode premiering Sunday.
