Tiffani Thiessen, the actress who played Kelly Kapowski in the 90's hit sitcom "Saved By The Bell," was less than thrilled when she was surprised by a mini "Saved By The Bell" reunion during her appearance on NBC's Today.
Right before playing a trivia game on the live TV broadcast, Dennis Haskins, the actor who played Bayside High School's principal Mr. Belding on the show, crashed her TV segment on Tuesday. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! What's going on here?" said Haskins while playing his Mr. Belding character. When cameras zoomed in on Thiessen's reaction, the model/actress looked visibly uncomfortable and awkward. Nonetheless, "White Collar" actress remained a good sport continued to play the trivia game.
Haskins has been an advocate for creating a Saved By The Bell reunion, telling TMZ "I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us. Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much ... they deserve it!" Mark-Paul Gosselaar, the star that played Zach Morris, also said that he was willing to do a reunion and even appeared, in character, on the Jimmy Fallon show.
However, Thiessen has remained firm in rejecting ideas for reuniting the show. When asked why she refused to participate in a "Bell" reunion that would make fans happy, Thiessen explained, "It's a matter of timing and finding something that everyone wants to do. It's not like something is holding it up. There are some issues with Dustin (Diamond). He wrote a book that wasn't real positive."
