The Toronto Maple Leafs (4-5-0) look to take advantage of the Washington Capitals' (2-5-1) struggles when the two teams play on Tuesday night.

The Maple Leafs lost their second straight on Monday night when they were embarrassed 4-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes on home ice. Matt Frattin gave the Leafs the lead with the lone goal in the first period, but the Hurricanes scored four straight and goalie Cam Ward stopped 41 Toronto shots in the win. The Leafs have scored just once in their last two games.

Despite their problems, the Leafs have had a better time than the Washington Capitals. Nothing has gone right in our nation's capital this season as the Capitals have won just once in their last four. In their last match, the Capitals lost 6-3 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Mike Green, John Carlson, and Mike Ribeiro scored the goals for Washington while goalie Braden Holtby continued to struggle with only 20 saves in the game. Superstar Alex Ovechkin added an assist but only has four points in eight games.

"I think the biggest thing is just our mental game right now isn't strong enough," said Holtby.

Previous Meetings: This is the second of three meetings between the teams. Toronto defeated Washington 3-2 on Jan. 31.

Predictions: Picking Toronto to win is an easy choice as the Capitals have not improved.
