Last Night, June 3 at the MTV Movie Awards, "Twilight" and "The Hunger Games" took home the top awards.

As most predicted "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1" went home with the Best Movie award as well as its fourth straight award for Best On-Screen Kiss. Kristen Stewart picked up the award for Robert Pattinson and her and stated that she did not know what to do without Pattinson. She pretended to make out with herself. For the past three years the couple would receive the award and kiss on stage. This year Pattinson was not at the awards ceremony.

However it was not "Twilight" that won big. "The Hunger Games" took home four awards including Best Fight, Best On-Screen Transformation, Best Female performance and Best Male performance.

Jennifer Lawerance, who won Best Female performance, was not able to make it because she was in Prague filming her new movie "Serena." Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), who won the Best male performance award , said that he always wanted a Golden Popcorn statue since he was 4 years old.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 won two awards including best cast and best hero. "Bridesmaids" also won two awards including Best Gut-wrenching Performance and Best Comedic Performance for Academy Award nominee Melissa McCarthy. However the film's awards were not televised.

The other winners included Jennifer Aninston for Best On-screen Dirtbag for the hit comedy "Horrible Bosses,  Shailene Woodley won for Best Breakthrough performance for the Oscar winner "The Descendants" and LMFAO won Best Music for "21 Jump Street." Emma Stone was honored with the MTV Trailblazer award while Johnny Depp received the MTV Generation award. After the actor received his award he performed a song with the band Black Keys.

During the awards ceremony the cast of "The Dark Knight Rises" introduced some exclusive never before seen footage of the upcoming film. They also presented a little bit of history on the Batman series and during the footage Christian Bale choked up seeing clips of Heath Ledger from "The Dark Knight."

The awards ceremony brought some of Hollywood's most glamorous stars including Charlize Theron, Charlie Sheen, Andrew Garfield, Emma Watson, Mila Kunis, Mark Walberg, Michael Fassbender and Adam Sandler.

The ceremony was hosted by Russell Brand who opened the show dressed as a punk rocker. The actor-comedian joked about Michael Fassbender's full frontal scenes in "Shame" and Kim Kardashian's short marriage as well as about Justin Bieber and Kanye West.  He also joked that if the world were to end this year that at least "We had the MTV Movie Awards and it was worth it."
