So far, Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on Feb. 3 has had fans buzzing after reports that the legendary singing trio Destiny's Child will reunite with the superstar singer onstage during the nationally televised broadcast of the game.
Yet, according to singer Michelle Williams, a former member of the group, it's not true.
Williams told WRUG Radio this week in an exclusive interview that there were no plans for the group to reunite onstage Feb. 3 for the 2012-13 season's big game in New Orleans, La.
"I hate to disappoint the people and tell them 'It's not true,'" she said.
Williams says that she is planning to be in the Tony Award-winning musical "Fela!," which will start its national tour Tuesday in Washington D.C.
Williams, who will be playing a lead role in the musical, has become well known in the theatre circuit in the last several years, and has a new gospel record .
"It feels amazing to be involved with 'Fela!' because I said that between each album, I wanted to do a theater run," Williams told MTV News this week. "I'm on my fourth album, and this is my fifth show, actually, so I'm on time. I just need to catch up on an album so it's five and five, but it's an amazing experience for me to do both."
However, despite Williams denying that the best-selling female song group will be reuniting on stage, Us Weekly is reporting that, according to inside sources, the song set for the halftime show will indeed have Williams and fellow band mate Kelly Rowland join Beyonce on-stage in New Orleans during the halftime show.
According to the entertainment news outlet, the plan is for Beyonce to start off the show with her 2003 smash hit single "Crazy in Love." And midway through the act, she'll be joined by Rowland, 31, and Williams, 32, to sing a medley of the group's biggest hits including "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Survivor," and ending with their new track "Nuclear."
The group announced earlier this month that they had recorded a new single for the first time since they broke up in 2005.
