As usual during the Super Bowl, there are a bevy of prop bets fans can make about occurrences before, during and even after the game's broadcast. There are some less conventional options, like what color Gatorade will be spilled on the winning coach, and less adventurous ones like how many times Ray Lewis might mention God if he's interviewed after the game.
There are statistics-based bets like the over/under on Colin Kaepernick's passing yards and questions about the color of Beyonce's top. For fans of competitions like fantasy football that enjoy having many different rooting interests in a game, some of these bets could be the perfect substitute. (They could also make a nice consolation prize for those of us who lost badly during fantasy football season.)
There are multiple bets available demonstrsting the media's fascination with the Harbaugh Bowl story, and it seems as if the only Harbaugh subject you can't bet on is the over/under of the number of Harbaugh related things bet on. If you're bold enough to predict that neither John nor Jim Harbaugh will be shown before the other, and it will be a split-screen shot of them instead, you'll receive a payout of four-to-one.
The largest longshot of the posted bets on FOX Sports is in the player touchdown department. It's currently a 75-to-one payout if you correctly predict that there will not be a touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII.
There are many even bets (one-to-one payout) available, and some that are even lower. If Alicia Keys forgets or omits at least one word of the Star Spangled Banner before the game, you will only get a third of your money back by winning the bet.
The betting can even spill over into the stock market action, though it isn't a lucrative bet either way. If the market is up the day after the Super Bowl, you'll be paid back at a five-to-seven ratio, while it's even money if the Dow Jones goes down.
