The New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers will look to get one in the "win" column when the two Western Conference squads collide on Tuesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Pelicans will look to bounce back from a disappointing 101-94 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday -- a loss that ended their two-game winning streak.

Anthony Davis, who is having a breakout season in his second year in the league, was not in his usual deadly form on Sunday night as he was limited to a season-low 14 points on 38.5 percent shooting from the field.

But despite his recent struggles, the Pelicans are expected to rely heavily to the 2012 No.1 NBA Draft pick, who is averaging 21.7 points and 11.6 rebounds to go along with 3.9 blocks per game this season.

Meanwhile, the Lakers will try to end their two-game losing skid and bounce back from a humiliating performance in their previous game.

The Lakers absorbed a blowout 113-90 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday in Minneapolis -- a loss that ended their domination of the Wolves, who were defeated in their previous 22 meetings with the Lakers.

Injury woes continue to hit the struggling Lakers as veteran point guard Steve Nash was ruled out for the next two weeks with nerve root irritation. The Lakers are still playing without superstar guard Kobe Bryant, who is not expected to return in the next two weeks, according to Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak.

Head-to-Head Matchup

The Pelicans will look to make it 2-0 against the Lakers this season. The Pelicans scored an impressive 96-85 win over the Lakers in their first meeting this season Nov. 8 at the New Orleans Arena in Louisiana.

Davis had a dominating performance as he took the Lakers' veterans to school, finishing with 32 points and 12 rebounds to go along with six blocks and three assists. Davis also limited Pau Gasol to just nine points on 3-for-12 shooting, blocking five shots from the former All-Star.
